Hello! My name is Stacey Ligameri, and I am the library media specialist at Samuel Mickle. So what's my story? When I was 5 years old, I was asked what I wanted to do when I grew up, I smiled and said "Make people laugh and be happy!" Well, I have spent many years accomplishing that goal but, life took me on a wonderful journey to get where I am today.
Many years ago after graduating from Rowan University, I got married and spent 14 years in the most "blessed" job ever...as a Stay-at-home Mom. Upon returning to the job force, I became a Library Aide. Within weeks, I saw the potential to bring the library to life for all students and get them excited about learning. I had finally figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up...a School Librarian! After completing the SLMS program at Seton Hall, I was provided with my dream job here at Samuel Mickle! I believe learning should be fun, interactive and hands-on. I anxiously await another year of getting to know your children, discovering what books they like to read and making library one of their favorite classes! Aside from reading and learning new things, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three boys. Whenever I have spare time, I also enjoy doing anything creative, writing, taking pictures, and volunteering to help others! I want to thank you in advance for your help and support again this year as I continue to learn along side your amazing children!
